L.O.S.T. Trail #221, aka Legends of Superior Trail. 45 degrees at the start, cool and crisp but comfortable. Few people around to start with. Passed a jogger just after I started but no one else on the outbound trip. Trail was muddy but not slushy. The hike just got better as it unfolded. Crossed Arnett Creek 7-8 times. Saw several date palms back in the canyon, lots of trees turning color which added to the beauty.
On the return trip I ran into a husband/wife/8-year-old daughter who were taking a break. They saw the patch on my pack and asked if I'd done the Camino. The mother and daughter had done the entire Frances last year in 42 days, hiking about 3-5 miles each day.
Much more traffic on the return trip as I neared the TH, especially several groups of horses.
When I signed the log at the TH I noticed where someone had beaten me to the (Picket)post on 11/27.
