| no partners | | I hiked with 4 others from the Moody Point TH down to the ruins and back up. More than half the trees that blocked the trail (last time I went) were cut away. This made the first 3 miles much easier. The trail is still very faint (ok impossible to follow) as you descend to the ridge but is somewhat visible along (behind) the ridge to the saddle. We took a short cut down to the cliff dwellings from above so we wouldn't have to climb up to them. The dwelling are in the same condition as when I saw them in January. The cloud cover today made for cool temps but the rain on the final hour heading back was down right cold. We saw 2 white tails and kicked up some quail(?) but didn't see any elk this trip. This is not an easy trail to stay on but as long as you know direction it trends you can find it again.
