I had never been to the crash site and decided it was time to find it. I went up to Flagstaff with a big group and 7 of us ended up at the crash site. The site is well preserved and the wreckage is scattered over a wide area. We went up the rock fall at the end of switchback about 2.5 miles up the trail. I cheated and had the gps points that can be found online, so we had no trouble finding the site. After viewing the site we headed back to the trail. I stopped at the saddle for a "gnat free" lunch while others went on to the summit.
