This starts off with standard desert terrain and follows a wash for a bit before coming to the first grouping of hoodoos and rock formations. We explored around a bit over here and found a brain shaped rock that Dr. Brain definitely had to pose with!
Next we made our way to the area where we had a ton of pins and it was such crazy geology over here. Your eyes almost didn’t know where to look because there were so many unique formations. I definitely felt like I was on another planet! We found the alien throne and a bonus throne that was very intergalactic too. There were a lot of and shaped rocks all over this area too. Needless to say, we had lots of laughs on this hike!
The best part about the area was that you never had anyone else near you! The formations are spread out enough that you rarely saw anyone else which was so awesome. We headed back towards camp after the hike and some bonus driving & were treated with some stunning pink skies to end an amazing day.
This trip was exactly what I needed and we had such a blast! |
