| no partners | | With fuel prices not yet reaching the levels the HAZnosticators predicted, I decided to take a daytrip to do a hike I had never done before (gotta pick ones 1-800 hasn't done to keep relevant, not ready to retire into the MSP yet! ).
I believe it was Tumamoc Shakur who once said; "Not all can appreciate the majesty of The Crown Jewel of the Tucson Mountains." And one must admire such prescient words.
Most of the informational signage here is in Spanish, perhaps the quote should be translated for full effect?
I passed a guy in a shirt saying he was a Tumamoc Master. 3 times.
I think it's amusing that there's some attempt to pretend this is protected or pristine or whatever. But I'm sure the funding source dictates the terms of access. It's nice that they allow the commoners to walk the road.
Surprising amount of traffic on the drive home. Apparently gas prices aren't keeping the keyboard activists from hitting the roads! |
