This spring has provided a series of systems that have skirted north of Arizona, kicking up the wind and providing just a few sprinkles in the higher elevations. On Monday Snowbowl reported 7" new and it snowed all day yesterday so I figured a trip to the peaks would be ideal.

By this morning the total had notched 15" so I packed all my gear with plans to bag the Ag, but it became apparent that winds that often follow a storm here would make that an endeavor in stupidity.

Alas it was a beautiful day for riding and sliding below 11k, with none of the effort or reward of the high peaks.
