The winter snow was a little disappointing with most of the state coming in a bit under normal amounts. The spring runoff has been difficult to pinpoint in many of the traditional drainages with less water and shorter and earlier flows.

The Mogollon Rim is among the most reliable winter snow magnets in the state and runoff and I wasn't sure what to expect here. The poison ivy was robust. There was plenty of sign of bear, and one hopelessly lost heifer.
