| no partners | | | Pretty rough outing, down a canyon I've used before but more brush and downed trees than I remember. Then opposite way I usually go. Got distracted from my main purpose by a sidecanyon with water and rock formations. It was pretty wicked in the middle with bouldering, poison ivy bashing, climbing, scrambling, then suddenly leveled out with some nice slickrock pools. I closed the loop by picking up a good illegals' trail and staying off a ridgeline till I could go over and drop in to the vehicle. Looked at TOPO and of course on down if I had stayed out of the "wicked" canyon it gets super narrow and may be impassable. I'll be back. |
