| no partners | | Decided to split up triplog and photosets. Went to my tried and true waterfall place ( sans people) and it was up to the task. Amazing how the water flow changes things. Some pools were scoured out and had places that the water was over my head now, and lots of quicksand. Some vegetation debris was still green that had been pushed down the canyon. The big waterfall had the usual problem to get to the bottom, one place go thru a catclaw or risk falling off a cliff.
I took a new route out and discovered a big adit/shaft following an ore body in a rocky ridge. The vegetation disguised it well but the tell tale vague trail and small rock stacking for the retaining wall gave it away. Would need a rope and some fancy rigging to do it. Another tell was a large metal machine part in the canyon bottom just below this section.
Back to the Jeep with sloshy footwear. Driving out discovered a new road to check out; I had always assumed it was just a border patrol parking area. Next! |
