denny had mentioned recently that he thought adero canyon is a better starting point for sunrise, so we decided to do our thanksgiving hike from there
my first time there, and i agree it's a much nicer approach than from lost dog
smooth trail, gradual incline

we got going around 0630, except for the tortoise, who got a head start
temps were fine, warmer than forecast, with a good breeze
think we saw just one mountain biker going up
found denny at the summit, where we chatted a bit and took some photos
jj, lp, joe and i hiked down to the 145th street trailhead, then retraced our steps
a lot more people on that side as usual
last year none of us did the over n back due to high winds
nice to get double digits and work up an appetite
