| no partners | | I decided to stay close to home today and see what the wildflower display was like. Flowers were better than what they were 10 days ago when I last did this hike, but they are not a "superbloom" at this point. Brittlebush are a no-show so far, but perhaps in another week they will be blooming.
On the way back from Sunrise Peak I decided to go up to Peak 3098, aka the West View Overlook.
Adero Canyon gets uglier everytime that I do this hike. I'd rather see strip mining than see the houses that are being built there. |

Wildflowers Observation Moderate In some places wildflowers were "substantial" while in other places they were "light"; so I split the difference and gave this a moderate rating. Poppies were the highlight, although fiddlenecks, lupine, and Dichelostemma capitatum had their moments. |
