The goal for this hike was to finish off the peaks in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve North (MSPN). We got an early chilly start from the Granite Mountain trailhead.
Cholla Mountain was our first destination. Seemed a lot easier than Little Granite. Had to dodge quite a bit of catclaw and of course, cholla. Got one in the ankle that was hiding in ambush.
Easy hiking over to Fraesfield. Off trail up is relatively brush free, but full of softball sized rocks.
Nice views from both peaks. Great weather for hiking. Thanks Kelly. :)
