been wanting to get mileage and aeg on going up cholla and down echo to the fence
thought it would be longer
syncing aeg made it too high, so i left it; seems reasonable
up cholla in 28:12
kinda weird going down echo
only saw two other people
was hoping for some critters
on the way back down cholla, ran into some active bees
got stung just below the cheekbone, with a couple in my hair
hustled down as fast as i safely could to the helicopter pad
several people i saw got stung more than once, and i could see others waving their arms around
can't say as i was in panic mode, but it was not a good feeling
hope i don't see anything worse on the news
had this possibility in the back of my mind, but thought it would be on echo
gonna avoid this trail for a few weeks
anyone know how long bee season lasts?
seems like a lot more than usual on the trails this year (lookout, north mountain)
anyway...
