Finally got to check this area out on Sunday after driving past here many times on the way to the rim. This is a cool area with a pretty wild feel, in spite of being able to see the beeline from several spots on most of the hike. I went off-trail near "the boulders" and wandered around for a really long time, checking everything out close-up. Got some crappy pictures. Nothing could turn out that great because most of the plants looked charred still. I've got to start being less lazy and get ready for a Circlestone trip in a couple weeks.
