Great overnight in the Supe’s with my buddy Eric. Arrived at Peralta trailhead at 7:30am… parking lot was about half full with the sun just started to come over horizon. Temps in the 50’s were perfect for our hike in. As always, Bluff Springs Trail is a bit of a cardiac hill when you start cold. But, once we got to the top, it was smooth sailing and a super enjoyable hike to Dutchman trail and then down to LaBarge. Water running everywhere! Was fantastic to see (and hear) all the creeks running through the Superstitions. Ran into a couple from South Carolina and then a young man from Vermont who was on a multi-day from Kearny all the way to lost Dutchman park! Got to camp, hung our hammocks, got plenty of R&R and made a nice fire before dinner. Got down to about 35 before we hit the sack… errr, hammocks. I made an unsuccessful attempt to find Oak Spring… found nothing but a dry creek bed and TONS of catclaw… ugh. All in all, great and super relaxing overnight trip.
