| no partners | | A friend of mine invited me along on a weekend backpacking trip. They just wanted to do something pretty simple, start late, and planned on being out two nights. I work on sundays so figured I could hike in with them on friday and head back out saturday. We had talked about camping at the mouth of the LaBarge box-- that was my idea but no one else had been there. We didn't have a real concrete plan but luckily I was able to politely steer things that way. I think some of them weren't so sure once we headed up the use trail across Battleship Saddle but once we dropped into LaBarge and everyone saw the water cascading out-- the whole group was more than pleased. There was just enough room for us. We were able to squeeze in four tents, a hammock, and two guys sleeping out.
I headed out in the morning. They decided since the spot was so nice they would just stay there a second night and some planned to attempt Battleship the next day. Pretty great weekend and beautiful weather |
