I saw the clouds and had to go. A little rain fell on Peralta Road on the way in. It was 96 degrees when I left the house and about 83 degrees at the trailhead. There was a nice breeze and complete cloud cover which was great. It started to rain a little and I thought, good. The little rain turned into real rain and the thunder was loud. The thunder was a 7 second delay so I was ok with 7 seconds. The delay went to 8 then 9 then 10 so I decided to keep on hiking. With the wind and being soaked through, it was cold at the saddle. The rain slowed and pretty much stopped toward the end. There were 4 washes running on Peralta road. I guess about 6 feet wide and a foot deep. Outside temp was 63 degrees on the way out Peralta road. I actually wished I would have brought a jacket.
