Got started from a nearly empty Peralta under clouds and with cooler temps. Made our way up Peralta to the saddle, then up towards Robbers Roost. The route was a little overgrown but not too brushy for shorts. Took a break at the Roost, then retraced our steps back down. It got sunny for a while on our descent, but storm clouds were building by the time we finished. Very green out there. Had the trails all to ourselves today, which was nice. Poured rain on our drive out, parts of Peralta Road became a river. A sedan would have some rough spots with the current road condition. The Supes are Celina’s favorite place to hike, so she enjoyed seeing the Roost for the first time.
