I last hiked this 13 years ago and a week before that too. Linda put it on the wish list and I told Kelly I'd go if she did. The weather was perfect and the drive was good. Linda is very patient even when the semi truck just pulls so we have to stop. I thought the trail was wider but it was easy enough to get by the other hikers/runners. I tried some Hoka shoes on the hike. The soft soles are comfortable but I prefer more stability. We hiked a decent pace which made the hike enjoyable. The gals decided on hike up Newman but Chris and I decided to relax and enjoy the cool temps. It was fun to hike with Chris, Lind and Kelly and to revisit Kendrick after a long hiatus.
