Parked across from the horse stables and rode the South Mountain Summit Road up to Dobbins Lookout and then over to Gila Valley Lookout (closed for construction). I spent a lot of time in my lowest gear (36/42) and was downshifting hoping for more

The climbs on the road to Gila Valley Lookout were even steeper and I found myself serpentining back and forth across the road to get up. Great workout going up. Scary coming back down. At least now, I know my brakes can take it.
