This ended up being a shorter outing than expected. I got up early with plans to be on the trail around sunrise, but as I got ready to leave, I opened the door to strong winds and some rain...wasn't expecting that until later in the day. I checked the radar and saw storms around South Mountain for the next hour or two, so I waited and started later in the morning. I had an appointment mid-morning, so I had to shorten the route with the late start.

It was another humid day, but the clouds and a few sprinkles helped with the comfort level. The hike itself wasn't particularly remarkable...the only interesting wildlife was a roadrunner along Marcos de Niza. Quite a few people out on the trails, and some interesting clouds as the last of the storms cleared out of the area for the day.
