| no partners | | I stopped in the Henry Mountains both going and coming to camp someplace cooler than the blast furnace. North Wash was showing 106 on the car thermometer as I came up on my way north. Anyway, did some light exploring and hiking. Was on Mt Ellen in 93 or 94, have to look it up in one of my photo albums ( remember those). Had some snow and saw buffalo at that time. This time I had a trekking pole failure and didn't make it to the top but had some nice views from the ridgeline off the trail.
Later explored some other old mining camp remnants and stopped off at the photo op of Little Egypt. A few things to return to with more time and a little cooler weather for the lower elevation stuff. |
