| no partners | | Beautiful, lots of forest hiking, lots and lots of rain, one night in one of the worst lightning storms I've been in, and lots of lakes. Moderate traffic. The first day I wanted to die on the trail, the usual since I haven't done anything at this elevation for a while. Then ok after that. Base camped at a large lake then did some day hiking. The weather was crazy so the rain gear was appreciated. It would storm, then break to some gorgeous skies or just gray quilted skies. Pretty good temps, cool especially with the storms. Met a group of 5 climbers probably between 17 and 22 years of age. They told me they had been in 19 days climbing on the divide and were very excited to get out to get showers and "real" food. I was proud for them. Saw some horse packers, and small groups but had a lot of alone time on the trail and at the lakes. Pics will come later as I have other not fun stuff to attend to that one has when you go out of town. |
