| partners | | I took Deb out to Kinder Crossing to check things out. It's been 5 years since the Tinder fire and things are starting to green up. It's going to take awhile for the skeletons to fall though.
The plan was to hike down to East Clear Creek and drop Deb off to read for an hour or so while I checked out a route I've been curious about.
The route down is in the same shape as previous trips. A little steep and a little rocky, but NBD. (Deb's description of "Little" will be different from mine).
We found her a a nice rock chair at a campsite by the creek and I headed off climbing the ridgeline just south of Yeager Canyon.
No blazes, chevrons or cairns on the way up. There is an semi-obvious use trail that runs up the ridge. I followed it up to the top and checked things out for a bit. I need to come back and head farther back on the ridge.
I headed back down taking advantage of the steep cliff next to ECC for the views. I gathered up my fellow hiker at the bottom and we checked out the area with the falls.
We took our time making it back UP to the car. |
