1. 4 day backpack around the Escalante River and side canyons. Saw no one afoot but 3 packrafters day 2. With spring runoff a good time to do this for the Escalante.
2. Day hike in Capitol Reef.
3. Snowy slot on the Kaparowits Plateau; will be a redo for this one in better conditions.
4. Storm day usual in Escalante. Visit the ranger station to peruse books and maps. Spent an obscene amount of money at Escalante Outfitters. Cheeseburger at Nemos.
5.Other- One of the most phenomenal car camps. on Slickrock with big views and hoodoos and small rock arches; one 20 feet from the back of the Toyota.
Bull fight on Hwy 95.
6. Rough drive to an area I will surely return. Supposedly unusual hill top ruin. Absolutely gorgeous area with miles of slickrock with rain pockets.
Great trip with lots of driving but I got quite a bit done. |
