| no partners | | Tired today but good hike and no knee issues. Storms rolled in last night and fired it up for more than an hour with some house vibrating thunder and cloud strobing lightning. Light rain and almost no wind.
Rolled down south with dark clouds and back lit sunshine. Labyrinth would have pools on down but I was exploring a new area bordering the complex mess that is Labby. Found some cool rocks. The road in seemed relatively unused and no notable trails from the illegals. Did find one area of an old route someone had cairned and I removed those.
Butt sliding, shin dagger dodging, catclaw bashing. All in a days' work. Excited to look on the map when I got home to see a possible way in to an area of the main canyon that is not near any road. Unless the route is entirely brushed out should work. Next weekend is on the list----old cameras and old broads rule!
Rant--- what is up the the BP checkpoint I went thru. The Bobbsey twins looked like thugs with their outfits and plastic shiny badges declaring " Federal Agent Border Patrol". When I am around authority figures that rub me the wrong way I sometimes say wildly inappropriate things like---"moonlighting for the cartels??" Fortunately this time I just shut up. |
