| no partners | | I went back to Prescott for my annual visit. This time I did all new trails for me going off trail for 3/4ths mile to Little Granite mountain peak. The trailhead I started from requires a high clearance vehicle and saying it is a one lane road is a stretch. You probably will earn some Arizona pin stripes on this one (my 4Runner is proud to wear them). But you can approach directly from the highway as shown on the map in the last slide of the picture set. My hike is in red there. A nice day. The last 300 feet of elevation off trail is very steep on soft, slidey soil. But it was fun. At the peak are some rock walls believed to be Indian ruins. |
