Went out to Chiva falls with 2 others. We drove the 4x4 route, taking the "three feathers" sections, which is the shorter route. If you do decide to drive this you will need 4wd and high clearance this is a very steady rocky route with lots of climbs and descents.
The falls were nice. There was water flowing. The area expert did note that he has seen it flowing more at other times. He recommends winter for the highest flow. Hiked down to the falls and enjoyed lunch before heading back the same route. Ran across some other groups but it was not crowded.
