A stroll in the western Superstitions to see a prospect and view some ruins. We started early and even found water in First Water creek. The guys took me to the Javelina mine (slang name) which is on the side of the hill but not visible from 20 feet from any direction. I didn't have my headlamp so I delayed exploring for another day. We hiked across Hackberry Mesa and down into Cholla Tank and looped back. It warmed up in the afternoon but still a nice day on the trail.
