I linked up with Wally for a day of exploring around the old ranch and off the JF Trail. We found some old mining claims a few large rock monuments, but nothing overly exciting, mainly just some new lines drawn on the personal map. We opted to walk the road on the way in and ended up with a pretty solid 12 mile day.

We did not pass any other hikers on the trail, but did pass a few along the road on the way out. This area could use some rain. Although, we did run across water in a no name canyon off of the JF Trail and near the area marked the Lost Dutch Spring. We turned around just before Fish Creek, but I think we did enough to link the description. On the way back to the trail we stumbled across a couple of large cairns that were mining claims, or in one case perhaps a memorial to someone.

Despite just a few pedestrian finds, it was a great day out in the Supes, with nearly perfect conditions after the brisk morning, some new intriguing new ground covered and some good Superstition themed chat throughout the day.
