I got an early start at 5:40am and followed one hiker up to Fremont Saddle. The plan was to keep going and check out a pass on the topo map that crosses over to Willow Spring. The pass was full of grass so i opted out until another day. While I was there I stopped off at Piper Spring which is buried under dirt so not good unless you have a hose to siphon with. Peralta trail is in decent shape with lots of rocks but not overgrown. I saw one trail runner by Piper camp and then hiked back to Fremont Saddle while it was still cool. There were several hikers coming up Peralta trail while I was hiking down. Finished up about 9:20am. A nice morning before the heat wave.
