| partners | | The four of us met at 7:30AM, my first time starting from Geronimo in nearly seven years. Nice clouds this morning and quite a bit of shade on the way up to Buena Vista. With the unfortunate Fliver news recently going HAZ-public, we decided to hike up to the Harvester benchmark, where we posed for a group photo in his honor, then backtracked to National and looped over toward Mormon.
We ended up with a two-snake hike...Kelly and I saw a small non-rattlesnake along National, then we all saw a speckled rattler on Mormon that someone pointed out to Bruce and Kelly. Coincidentally, Kelly's wish at the beginning of the hike was to see a speckled rattler. Her ability to manifest wishes into reality is impressive (Kelly, I could use some winning lotto numbers, hint hint). We continued down to Mormon TH, then walked through the neighborhoods back to the starting point.
Nice weather, just starting to get warm at the end, and a fun start to the day. Great to see everyone and chat again, and most importantly, I got to hear the The Eagle's side of the story in the ongoing 10s photo sequencing controversy of 2024-25. Now I don't know who to believe!! |
