I had a slow morning at work and was able to join Linda on a short loop hike starting from Pima Canyon TH. We started up the road on National, then went counterclockwise along Mormon Loop/Mormon. Linda pointed out some petroglyph panels I hadn't seen before, and we got passed by a mountain biker wearing jeans...denim is seeing an unexpected resurgence in popularity in 2025.

We hiked through Hidden Valley and then left the trail to return through Pima Canyon, where we enjoyed some fun scrambling. Linda pointed out the giant bursera, and we explored a mine that I'd missed on my previous visit. She was pointing out mine tailings all over that I'd never noticed, and it was a fun short hike avoiding work, seeing a few new points of interest, scrambling, and getting out to SoMo on a weekday when it's not so crowded.
