| no partners | | A nice trail along the banks of the Meramac River. The Greenway section is a great running or biking path, and we saw several out using it for that purpose. It had been raining (and still was when we started our hike), so there was some mud to contend with, but not bad.
The Zombie name is apparently a nod to some local legends of allegedly strange happenings on the trail. But we went on a Sunday and during the day, so as not to disturb the protected habitat of the endangered Zombies during mating season. 
The trail was lovely, but frankly the amazing green scenery got a bit monotonous after a few miles, so we cut the hike short and decided to try to hit up another location before we had to head back to the airport in St. Louis for our evening flight back to AZ. |
