| no partners | | | Two quite by chance car camps in neat areas with rock pillars and tall pines and the other clifftop camping overlooking a vigorous creek. Both were over 7k which was my goal to acclimate since I am such a flatlander right now. As I like to do set up the Toyota then hiked around. Both areas beautiful and definitely on the list to revisit if I get in the area and plan a little more time. Coming back nothing exciting except outside of Flag in the woods woke up predawn to slight noises and looked out of the car to see the site surrounded by a small elk herd. |
