Decided to hike up here after college class. Drove the 35 miles from Flagstaff to the base of the mountain without incident, though rather slowly since I had my spare on (cracked the rim on main tire). Hiked up and planned to find the geocache in the crater, though halfway up I started feeling unwell, and ended up aborting the hike at the rim. Thought I was sick and drove back home, only to realize I was suffering from heat exhaustion. Total waste of four gallons of gas driving there and back and I wanted to hike Colten Crater too but of course that didn't happen. Oh well, I'll be back to hike those two craters someday, probably when it's cooler.
