| partners | | We hiked in via the closed road to Lockett Meadow and only crossed paths with a few all day. The saddle was only lightly occupied by younger folks who opted for the shorter tree root approach.
The forecasted 24 mph gust only panned out on two small stretches before the saddle. Phenomenally perfect weather otherwise. Two to three small hints of nearly gone snow or ice between the bus stop and Weatherford.
A fat-tire bike was recently ridden to the crossover saddle before heading down to Humphrey Saddle. We saw the tread imprint intermittently in the soft surface heading up from Inner Basin.
A delightful day hike sans post-hike cramping. |

Autumn Foliage Observation Substantial Ending soon. There are patches of leafless Aspen's from high winds and recent weeks. The majority is winding down. |
