| no partners | | Did a loop of Wolverine Pass, Deer Tanks, Bulldog Canyon and FR1356 and FR10.
Started from the Wolverine Pass TH and headed east on the Wolverine Pass Trail. Crossed the slot canyon and took Deer Tanks Trail...which immediately takes you right back into the slot canyon. After that I took FR10 to the wash that heads north to Bulldog Canyon and hiked the canyon and the horse trail the parallels it over to 1356. Took 1356 to the first dirt road heading south and then took the next dirt road up to the north end of Blue Ridge, then back down the other side to 1356 again and back to the TH.
Super hazy air and awful visibility. Clouds rolled in later which made things a little cooler. windy at times which contributed to the haze. No wildlife, not even snakes. Last week seemed like they were super active based on what I saw on my hikes and what I saw posted. Saw one guy walking his dog along a neighborhood road near Idaho Road, 4 dirt bikers and a few rhino drivers. Nice Sunday morning walk after the bigger one the day before. |
