I missed the trail along the road, but then I found trail number 303 and took that, which then junctions with Wolverine Pass. Headed further east and went out about 2 miles on the Meridian Mystery Trail and came back, then finished a loop of Deer Tanks and FR10 back to the parking area. Slower going since the trails here are rockier than the park trails I've got a little too used to, so I only got 8 miles in. Cloudy and drizzly at the start with threatening looking clouds to the east, then sunny by the end. Saw 2 trail runners, 2 hikers, and some 4 wheelers and dirt bikers on the roads. Temps are much more comfortable, and no humidity that soaks you after a half hour. |
