| no partners | | Walnut Canyon is not a traditional hike in the sense that the trail is paved, has steps, and handrails along most of the route. However, it is straight down into Walnut Canyon which of course means the way out is straight up. You will pass several Indian ruins, some of which you can enter. It is advisable to take water because while there is shade, it can also get quite hot on the hike in and out. For historians, archeologists and people interested in Indian history before Europeans, this short hike is a dream. |
