Elevation change is approx. 6000' to 7150' and is best done hiking it clockwise which takes you up the steepest portion of the trail first. This trail will afford some magnificent views of Chino Valley, Granite Mt., and the northern Bradshaw Mt's. Vegetation will very depending on where we are but will be a mix of brush, agave, pinyon pines, junipers, ponderosa pine, and oak. Some parts of the trail are fairly rocky. Before you start back down the trail to your starting point there are some good places to stop and eat lunch that afford some magnificent views of Prescott valley. |
