Nice easy hike at the base of Snowbowl's bunny hill. It's crowded on the weekends, and unfortunately saw more than one person carving into aspen trees, even after I educated them that its not allowed. Maybe Coconino Forest Service could put up some signage to at least try to discourage this. Most of the leaves were gone from the aspens but there were still some flashes of gold on the mountain.

Note: another trail guide shows this hike as 2.3 miles roundtrip. Not sure which is correct, but it did seem longer than 1.6 miles.

Started from Cholla day use area which gave us a nice climb up to Green Boulder. Good, wide trail with amazing views as you climb.

Rented kayaks from Lake Powell Marina which was an easy process. Left the marina at 8 AM. The paddle to mouth of Antelope Canyon took about 45 minutes. Not too many big boats at that time, but the water was a bit choppy. The passage back to Antelope Canyon has a 5 mph speed limit so there was not really any issue with wake from boats or jet skis. It's still advisable to stick to the edges of the canyon. It's a beautiful paddle, and was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. About a half mile from the beach, the water gets very murky with lots of branches and wood floating in the water.

The beach is small but there is room to pull up kayaks. The hike through the slot canyon is gorgeous, and even a claustrophobic like me had no problems. We hiked back to a spot where there was a ladder which you could climb to continue on but that was where we turned around. The paddle back through was great until we hit the lake where it was very choppy and slow going. Boat traffic was much busier later in the afternoon.

Highly recommend this trip but beginner paddlers might want to join a tour or get some practice paddling under their belt before attempting.

Left First Water Trailhead on Wed at 11 AM & walked the length of Second Water Trail to Boulder Canyon Trail. Had some "fun" criss crossing the boulders in Boulder Creek. The trail is a little tricky to follow here but there are cairns on either side of the dry creek that were helpful. Hit Calvary Trail which starts with a climb. Camped at a great spot close to the intersection of Calvary and Dutchman's. Water was available nearby coming from White Rock Spring.

Day 2: started on a short stretch of Dutchman's to Bull Pass. Coming down off the Pass there are amazing views of Weaver's Needle. Took Black Mesa Trail to Second Water back to our car.
