After a slight uphill climb, you will come to the Fuente del Piojo a fountain and picnic area.

Here at this rest area is a fountain, known by the expressive name of Fuente del Piojo, where according to tradition pilgrims were deloused. The Fuente del Piojo is today a valued spring that emerged and was developed next to the Camino de Santiago, with a water trough attached to a stone wall and with an area that allows us to rest before heading to Puente Fitero. This section of the Camino had been erased and razed years ago, but today it is faithfully restored.
