Another successful day out here. A nice, slow rain fell most of the day to keep things cool and give the area a different look. No one else out here today. I noticed a good amount of saguaros blown down facing west. I am not sure what storm took so many down, but it was this summer for sure. Anyone else been out here recently and noticed...or didn't notice this?

Headed to Dead Deer Tank and went west towards Two Holes. Turnaround point was newly named Rock at the End of the average sized boulder at the tip of a ridge. It was screaming come back and camp here please.

Animal-wise it was a thriller. Of course I had the pocket camera on such a day and not the real one. Oh, well. Seeing is better than photo-ing anyway. The first bend I came around in the initial wash I spooked a mule deer buck with velveted antlers. Nice. Handful of lizards, centipedes, millipedes, and spiders (all in photos). Highlight of the afternoon was just beyond Two Holes I saw 3 female bighorn sheep on one ridge, and directly across the canyon another female and a male. Very cool. I followed the three females, but was soon distracted by a chuckwalla...and then another chuckwalla. By then the sheep were gone. No worries though, kept on exploring and kept on having a nice day.

Like many other triplogs from the weekend...the rain felt great. I think I also read one that pointed out the many millipedes that were out...same here today.

I got a complete 180 after a day deep in the mountains...coming home my neighborhood was filled with trucks supporting the Lady Gaga show down the street. Welcome back to society.
