On the Drive up to do this one today I was treated with a brillliant display from the Perseid Meteor Shower....

Dave and I got the car shuttle set up, and we started in just off the rim. The Babe Haught portion of this trail was pretty sweet. The rest was Decent also. THere are only 2 real sections of ups on this trail. The first where you leave the Babe Haught Trail, and the other when you drop into the Blue Ridge Resevoir. Started at 53 degrees and when we finished, close to 80. Passages 27, 28, and 29 done (65 miles) ... 40 sections and 754 miles to go!

Saw Bob for 5 minutes. He was coming the other direction and tried to lay on the ground and scare us.
