| partners | | I'll never get used to the 3am starts, but I'm getting better at them. I learned that Karate chops will not cure hiccups, but they do make-em jump.
This was my first 30+ mile hike and this was the perfect trail for it. The weather was just about perfect.... between the tree cover, clouds, and breezes we rarely got over heated. Everything was very green out there today and the meadows were very sweet looking.
I started a jog at the 23 mile mark to get away from the ramblings of Joe-Joe. At the 25 mile mark, Joe downed his 5 hour energy drink, and started ranting, raving, babbling, jumping up and down, and then left in a cloud of dust. Dave at this point turned up his so called music, and also started running like a mad man. We saw them only twice more, once when they missed a turn and had to come back to us, and then at the end of the hike.
Thanks for setting this up Denny an doing the shuttle with me. Dave, great hiking with you again... Joe, thanks for taking up space in my truck. |
