This is what I like to think of when I think of forest. Not overwhelming by any means, just simple and beautiful throughout. Started off cool and was pretty warm after 11am. Now having plotted the route out on map it's good to know more about this area that was a mystery to me. The wildflowers were moderate in areas yet less than expected overall. The south end appeared to get rain recently and the creek was even a slow trickle.
