Day one = hell, well, not quite all but 8+ hours of bushwacking can take it's toll. Yeah, there was a waterfall, and some flowers and some views but it was still hell. Grapevines as large as my biceps, catclaw, mesquite, downed trees, crawling, hands and knees crawling, clinging to rock faces full of cactus-- and the vegetation isn't even leafed out yet!

Day two= heaven with sore thighs. From our wonderful campsite we ventured down the small steep canyon to a 10 foot drop, into Cherry Creek. Here slickrock, water and a small canyon within a canyon made for delightful wandering. You could swim or wade or completely bypass it on a bench, lightly cairned from some other wanderers. Soon to a 20 foot + roaring waterfall with some deep pools. I was too sore, sunburned and dehydrated at this point to go on, but I'd love to throw on a light backpack and go on down the drainage aways.
