| no partners | | Finally got my friend and his wife out of the house together. They had a bad case of the "we can't leave the baby" still 2 years after. I didn't mind my other company either.
If ever I questioned Joe's 2wd road in, it was this trip. The previous days' rains had played havoc with it. The ruts actually helped keep you on course like riding a sloppy train. As long as you kept moving, it didn't matter much which way you turned the steering wheel, you were headed down the line.
Brought the big and small camera.
Parked at the point and headed down.
The last steep section usually slidey on it's own was now slippery muddy fun.
Even with all the rain the water ended up being its usual clear creekdness.
Of course we hung out at the rope swing. Great to see it still doing well after its installation 3 years ago.
We made it to the gardens without incident. Hung out there for a long time and caught a nap as well.
The clouds gathered a bit worrying us but after a short sprinkle they cleared out just fine.
We made it back and to the top before the sun went down then drove the sloppiness out and aired up before the pavement and home. |
