After a good nights sleep, we packed up, checked out, and hit the 6:15 Shuttle Bus for the NK Trail Head. There was some last minute posturing going on at the TH. I think we all wanted to do the planned Old Bright Angel route, but after previous days length and AEG, Wally, Denny and myself decided to skip the extra 4 miles and the "Unknowns". We started down North Kaibab, knowing that TurboTeva would attempt to kick it in gear to catch us along the way.
What we'd come through the previous day looked different in the morning light....partly because my eyes were a little farther open at this point today.
Once again a great, great hike from Rim to Rim. The landscape changes throughout the entire hike. Always something new to see. I kept telling myself that I've knocked this off my list, so I don't need to do this ever again... Who the heck am I kidding. It's a very demanding hike, but oh so worth it.
